I'm thinking about investing in project 3 and wanted to understand how much to invest and what the savings would look like. On the 'your savings' section of this page:
I entered my annual consumption of 14,000kWh (ASHP, big house), so 120% of that is around 17,000kWh. If I purchase 17MwH for about £15K, my anticipated savings are about £40K over 40 years - an average of £1,000 pa, or £83pm for 1,400kWh of consumption pm.
I (vaguely) understand that this is an estimate based on the predicted future price of energy, and I've rounded numbers and averaged consumption for the sake of simplicity.
Here's our electricity bill from Octopus with 1,200kWh of consumption (in November '22).
My question is, what would this bill look like if I were already enjoying the benefits of investing in Project 3?
Would I just reduce my bill by about £70 before VAT (1205/1400*83) or is it more complicated / nuanced than that? Can any existing Ripple members comment on what their bills looked like before and after Ripple?
Thanks in advance for your help.
