We might be biased, but I'm sure we all agree that apart from saving us money, we are doing a public good by being part of a Ripple co-operative, directly funding new renewable generation.
I believe energy co-ops should be eligible for a salary sacrifice scheme, similar to Cyclescheme, where we get tax benefits. In my view, the justification is even stronger than for Cyclescheme.
Of course it's too late for us to benefit, but has Ripple considered working with politicians to try and get a scheme like this, for energy co-ops, on the agenda? It's the sort of thing I can see having major cross-party appeal.
