We recently had solar and home battery storage installed, to go alongside my Kirk Hill and Derril Water project shares. I'm wondering how it is that I can get 15p from Octopus for exporting my solar to 'the grid', where the payments per Kwh for the Ripple projects are currently forecast to be a lot lower? I understand that there are likely to be commercial reasons for offering good export rates to attract customers, but I wondered if there's something else going on which explains the large difference in payments for renewable generation?
