We get lots of questions about solar and land use. This graphic from Carbon Brief compares how much the UK's current solar parks use, as well as future solar parks needed to meet the UK's net zero target. It compares that to the amount of land that golf courses and airports use.
Solar parks like Derril Water enable 96% of the land to continue to be used for sheep grazing. Land can be dual-use.
