Why is Derril Water so much more expensive that Kirk Hill?

When I bought into Kirk Hill, I got 1.7kWh/year predicted generation per £1 invested. With the current offer, Derril Water is 0.97kWh per £1. This difference is very large, are solar parks inherently most costly to build or is there something else at play here?

Obviously, wind can blow 24 hours a day, so the output can be much more consistent.
Strangely, the predicted lifetime of solar park is 1.6 x that of the wind farm.... so the cost per predicted kWh generated over lifetime is not so different... just that the payback period is 70% longer.
